Owner Education: A significant part of our Board and Train program is ensuring that you the owner learns how to maintain and reinforce the training once your dog returns home. The K9 Pros will provide you with a private "go home" lesson at your house when we bring them back to you after their training time is completed. You will be given the guidelines necessary to be sure the training your dog received from us can be successfully maintained by you.

What are The K9 Pros Board and Train Programs?
We will pick your dog up from your home to begin its Board and Train with us, and will return them home at the completion of training. Every new client gets an in-home consultation at the time of their dog's pick up. During your dog's stay with us, you will receive regular updates, videos, and reports on your dog's progress and the fun they are having too! You will receive a two hour in-home session when we bring your dog home, to ensure that there is a smooth transition between our training and the continued "upkeep" you need to do with your dog once it is back with you. Those purchasing the three week program will also receive a sixty minute in-home "refresher" session at a later date.
A customized plan is worked out for each individual dog according to their needs and the goals of the owner, but these are things that will be typically trained with your dog during it's stay with us for Board and Train-

Two Weeks- On-leash skills/commands of loose leash walking, place (go to your bed), sit, down, stay, a release command, housebreaking/crate training, plus come, and introduction to the life saving "emergency down" command. We will teach focus (attention), how to work through distractions, and "meet and greet" skills. We can also address some moderate behavioral problems (jumping, nipping, chewing, etc.) Includes an in-home consultation when we pick your dog up, and a two hour "go home" session when we return your dog to your home.

Three Weeks- We will cover everything from the one & two week programs but additionally, will work for both on AND off leash reliability for commands, especially for the come and the "emergency down". We will add even more distractions to proof your dog on the things it has learned. We will continue working on behavioral problems, and will do added socialization with people, places, and other dogs. Specialized training such as that needed for the AKC Family Dog program, or for Therapy Dogs, or Emotional Support Animals, can be done with dogs evaluated by us as suitable for those tasks. Includes an in-home consultation when we pick your dog up, a two hour "go home" session when we return your dog to your home, and a one hour in-home session that can be scheduled at a later time as a "refresher".
